Re-imagining Care Pathways – how far away is the future?
Wednesday 16 May

This event is supported by Brand Exchange

Not all doctors are alike, nor are hospitals or healthcare systems. Treatment can be disjointed, of variable quality and with unverified outcomes. There appears to be a growing trend for standardised clinical pathways that address some of these issues, but is this enough? What is the future? How would we think differently if we were starting from scratch?

To help address the questions, our speakers have real-world business experience of delivering healthcare.

David Ravech is the Chariman and co-CEO of Synergix Health, a highly innovative healthcare company which owns Doctor Care Anywhere, a telemedicine company providing consultations to over 180,000 customers in more than 100 countries. David is passionate about using technology to make safer healthcare more accessible, convenient and satisfying for patients. He is proud to lead a company that puts patients first and helps elevate standards of medical practice. In his previous life David was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co before founding Overland Health (now part of Slater and Gordon) and GF-X (now Descartes). David has an LLM from Harvard Law School, and a BA (Economics) and LLB (First Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne.

Andreas Ludowig is Managing Director of Schoen Clinic London and a Board Member of Munich-based Schoen Holdings. Schoen operate 21 hospitals and clinics in Germany and will soon open two in the UK. They run highly specialised facilities rather than general hospitals, and their approach is the subject of a case study in Michael Porter’s healthcare course at Harvard Business School. Andreas has a diploma in Business Administration and Management from the University of Bayreuth.

Maria Rosaria Natale (CCC 11Jun), PhD, is founder and CEO of Your Business Partner, a leadership and innovation consultancy firm. She has worked extensively with Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan. Prior to this she worked at Schwarz-Pharma, Bayer and Firmenich. Maria has an Executive Master’s Degree from INSEAD in Coaching and Consulting for Change.

Our moderator will be Ted Townsend (MBA 90D), a self-employed management consultant and author of the LaingBuisson Private Acute Medical Care in Central London report, as well as director of two conferences. His previous experience was in strategy and M&A with Bain, Lazard and Reed Elsevier.
