Women in Tech – Marcelle Speller: From dot-com Pioneer to Philanthropy Disruptor

Recipient of the INSEAD alumni achievement Force for Good award in 2018, Marcelle Speller (MBA’82) will share her journey from being one of Europe’s sharing economy pioneers to a leader in the re-invention of philanthropy for the digital age. We will explore her career path from the early internet when she launched Holiday-Rentals.com – Europe’s leading website for advertising private holiday homes – to her 2008 social venture localgiving.org – a fundraising platform for local charities – to her current start-up brevio.org – a matchmaking service between charities and funders on a mission to address the over £1bn lost annually in the charity-grant application process.
