Product management is currently among the most in-demand jobs in business – both for job seekers and for organizations looking to become more product- and customer-oriented. But what is product management? There is not necessarily an easy answer, as backgrounds, responsibilities and expectations for product managers differ from company to company. In this TECH TALK, we will look at product management from three different perspectives: a high-level overview of what the job is and why it is important, some insight into the role played by product leaders and a brief look at some of the talent-related trends surrounding product. Panelists include long-time product manager and leader, Raphael Leiteritz (INSEAD MBA’04J); the faculty director of INSEAD’s Product Management Executive Program, Noah Askin and the head of Egon Zehnder’s Berlin office, Mark Krymalowski.
