Bill Magill is a professor of entrepreneurship at INSEAD, focused on the commercialisation of technology innovations. He is the former Director of Science Entrepreneurship at INSEAD and has taught courses on fundraising and private equity. His Sci-Tech Commercializer Program was awarded the 2012 Innovation of the Year by the Association of MBAs. Bill’s current course – Technology Venturing Practicum – focuses on app and software innovation development and partners with coding schools in the Paris area.

Bill has been working with technology companies internationally for more than 25 years. As a partner in the Silicon Valley venture fund TeleSoft Partners, Bill has invested in photonics-enabled companies in the US, Europe and Israel. He’s also been a senior equities analyst with Banc of America Securities and market analyst at RHK and ElectroniCast. Bill started his career building laser systems at TRW and later Livermore National Labs. Bill received an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Davis. He also has a degree as an associate of applied science in lasers and electro-optics from Texas State Technical Institute. Bill is founder of the Interprize Group, bringing guidance to post core careers, and a citizen of both the US and France.
