The relentless development of technology to collect, store, and process information continues to transform business – as well as the way we live, think and feel. Neural networks are now overtaking humans in some intuitive tasks where human judgment was previously thought to be unapproachable. Nevertheless, with the rise of machine learning the role of more sophisticated human judgement is expected to rise, at least in the short to medium term. This requires a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of human brains, and how they can work together with and be complemented by machines.
