Understanding Bias: In Humans, AI & When They Collaborate
Wednesday, 13 November 2024
4.00 pm CET
Duration: 60 min
A large body of behavioral science explores the biases of humans which are relevant to managerial decision making. In today’s evolving business landscape, decisions are increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence (AI). But how do AI systems, like ChatGPT, interact with our inherent human biases? And more importantly, what happens when we rely on AI for managerial decisions?
This webinar, presented by Anton Ovchinnikov, INSEAD Visiting Professor of Decision Sciences, presents two of his research papers that discuss surprising patterns in how AI mirrors, avoids or even introduces new biases in decision-making. The first paper examines biases particularly relevant to business operations, revealing how AI may either reinforce human-like biases, act rationally without bias or develop unique biases of its own. The second paper goes further, exploring how these biases impact human behavior when interacting with AI.
Discover whether AI helps us make better decisions – or whether it challenges us to think differently.
