On Wednesday, 24 January, INSEAD and Digital Currencies Governance Group (DCGG) launched their report Regulating NFTs: Striking the Balance between Business Innovation and Risks. Based on interviews with industry experts and government representatives from different jurisdictions, the study provides a thorough exploration of the complex global regulatory environment surrounding NFTs and its implications for business innovation and society. In particular, the report addresses complex questions such as:

  • How can NFTs benefit UK businesses and individuals?
  • What are different jurisdictions doing to regulate NFTs?
  • Is there an opportunity for the UK to lead in this space?
  • How should the UK consider and apply financial services regulations?

Hosted in the House of Commons by Lord McNicol, the report presentation was followed by a cocktail reception and an NFT exhibit (Ledger collection).
