Training with AI, Winning Against Humans – Evidence from Chess Computers
Mon, 21 Oct 2019, 7:00pm – 8:30pm
INSEAD Middle East Campus
Abu Dhabi
Henning Piezunka
INSEAD Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise
AI has been shown to replace people in production (e.g., the robot drives the truck) or enhance people ability to fulfill a particular task (e.g., AI optimizes the route truck driver takes). One aspect that has been missing is AI’s ability to train people. INSEAD Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship Henning Piezunka will present cutting edge research on how AI can help people become more competitive. His presentation is based on a study where he uses evidence from chess computers and compare the performance of chess players from the Soviet Union where chess computers were not available with the performance of chess players who had access to chess computers in Western countries.
