Innovation is at the core of UAE Vision 2021. Multiples steps and initiatives have been taken to spur innovation across the Emirates and in Abu Dhabi. Most of these initiatives focused on incubating and accelerating startups as well as External Corporate Venturing. ECV presents a number of challenges. Mindset, process and culture are often not in place to unlock and enable digital transformation and corporate innovation in general and, efficient models/tools of co-innovation with startups are not well understood.

Based on an extensive due diligence of the UAE ecosystem, Innovation Works plans to help bridge the knowledge gap in this field through new teaching, academic content and outreach activities. Through a series of workshops, Tech Talks and case studies, we are building high impact and relevant knowledge and a community.
